  • Fixes GHSA-w5hq-g745-h8pq: v3(), v5(), and v6() did not validate that writes would remain within the bounds of a caller-supplied buffer, allowing out-of-bounds writes when an invalid offset was provided. A RangeError is now thrown if offset < 0 or offset + 16 > buf.length.

Reviewed at 2e31621cb9c76d386193dc92567a71050ef0a9d1: no blocking findings. Checked UUID imports, compatibility with the pinned Node 22.22.2 runtime, bundled types, and the Jest ESM transforms.

Recorded local before/after QA in Chrome against localhost:10000. The baseline used UUID 8.3.2 in the four upgraded packages; the second run restored 14.0.0 and restarted the server, worker, and Vite. Both runs used the same application code, since this PR changes dependencies and test configuration only.

The record and attachment created under UUID 8 remained readable under UUID 14, with the original attachment bytes preserved. Neither recording produced browser page errors. This is focused coverage of login, record creation, and attachments, rather than every UUID-consuming workflow.

Server and worker type checks passed after building workspace dependencies. All current CI checks passed or were skipped.
