[API merging] Creating a publication fails in RRM express setup #13620
Description
Bug Description
The request to create a publication in RRM express setup fails with a 500 error. This is because the request uses * as the wildcard notation for organization following the API design doc, but it should use a hyphen (-) following Google AIP standards.
Steps to reproduce
- Ensure Request the new RRM scopes for the express setup #13004 is merged.
- Turn on the
rrmExpressSetupfeature flag. - Set up Site Kit.
- Go to the RRM express setup in
yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=googlesitekit-dashboard&slug=reader-revenue-manager&reAuth=true&expressSetup=true&cta=newsletter-signup&step=connect-publication. Choose to create a new publication if you have existing publications. - Fill out the form and submit.
- Observe the error encountered.

*symbol used for the organization wildcard notation withinorganizations_publications->create()with a hyphen (-).

- Update any failing tests.
QA Brief
- Turn on the
rrmExpressSetupfeature flag. - Set up Site Kit.
- In the traffic section, click on the "Set up a sign-up form" CTA in the "Collect reader emails directly on your site" notification.
- Choose to create a new publication if you have existing publications.
- Fill out the form and submit.
- Verify that your publication is created successfully without errors and that you are sent to the next step.

Currently, I’m unable to complete the create publication flow due to the API error encountered. I’ll verify this ticket again once the API issue is resolved.
